Danicing Raisins and Floating Bubbles

We went to a friends house this afternoon to do a couple of fun science experiments. The first was Dancing Raisins. We put some raisins in clear soda and watch the float and sink as if they are dancing.

Next we mixed a large quantity of baking soda and vinegar inside a glass aquarium creating CO2. When we blew bubbles into the tank they float on top of the CO2 and look like they are suspended in mid-air. The kids had a blast. Who doesn't like playing with bubbles?

And Joss did her thing while we were there too...
