Only one month left until our little baby is officially not a baby anymore. The days have flown by! At 11 months Joss is talking up a storm. We tried to work on baby sign with her, but she'd much rather just speak the words, so she does. Its hard to say what her first word was because I was in denial that she was even saying real words. Right now she says mom, dada, bubba, Alex, peekaboo, thank you, more, milk, turtle, puppy, ya, bye bye, night night, and hi! 14 words at 11 months!
She is giving her brother a run for his money. She loves to chase him down the hall yelling "ALEX"! Anytime she finds one of his toy she picks it up and calls it Alex and get so excited to be playing with his things. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle with mommy. She blows kisses whenever she leaves a room.
Joss is now 16 lbs and has moved on to 3-6 month sized clothes, but don't let that fool you. The girl has a ferocious appetite and will beg at you feet if she sees you're eating anything. So far she isn't a super picky, but has flat out refused to eat a couple of things I've made. She will not use a sippy cup at all. Instead she prefers to drink out of a straw or just a regular cup.
Although she did take her first steps a couple of weeks ago she isn't walking on a regular basis just yet. Every now an again she will let go of a piece of furniture and take a few steps, but mostly prefers to hold on to something (or someone). Even though she doesn't walk on her own it is her preferred method of transportation. She will walk along furniture or walls or grab one of our hands and take off, as if to say you'd better come along or I'll get hurt and then you'll feel bad...
We just love our Jossy Bossy girl so much. I can't imagine our lives without her. She adds so much joy and love to our lives. Happy 11 months!
